The Challenge
The implementation of a new core financial accounting system using Momentum Financials, including the first-ever implementation of the Accounts Receivable and Auctions modules, in addition to numerous system interfaces. In order to assure a smooth transition to the new product, the client required third-party, full independent verification and validation services in a compressed amount of time.
The Solution
Integrated Business Consulting provided the FCC with a team of experienced Momentum consultants with a high level of federal financial systems and testing experience. The IBC team developed rigorous test cases, plans, and scenarios in order to effectively test the software to ensure a successful go-live for the FCC. In addition, the IBC team analyzed the performance testing and training of the integrator to ensure that the integrator was providing the necessary level of support. Finally, the IBC team supported the client’s User Acceptance Test phase by providing on-site support, thus giving the customer a greater level of comfort with the new system.
The Results
The IBC team successfully tested over 95% of the business processes and requirements associated with the FCC’s new core financial accounting system, which included Budget Formulation, Budget Execution, General Systems, Security, General Ledger, Auctions, Accounts Receivables, Cost Management, Accounts Payable, and over 15 separate interfaces.
